As in all blogs it's only a matter of time before you feel obliged to include the fantastic Spongebob Squarepants. So although today's blog isn't particularly about him, it potentially involves his relatives! The word of today is:
It's certainly a football free blog tonight, in fact, it's a blog with a word pretty much out of the blue, but it is a cracker of a word!
Oh and the answer to the title question is........a yellow sponge!
Go out now and spread the word gossypiboma.
OK that's the two semi finals over, the first definitely led to a spot of onychophagy, and the second, after Germany's penalty, probably caused a bit too!
You guessed it! The Blogword today is onychophagy.

Hoping to knock things like this out from time to time, hopefully while it's still news!
This is one from last week anyway.
After watching, intermittently, the Portugal v Spain match, I have discovered a word which sums up England's favourite winker, Cristiano Ronaldo. The word of today is autolatry.
So we have seen plenty of it in the last few weeks at the Euro's but unfortunately Ronaldo's autolatry and yearning to be the star of the show meant in the end he didn't even get to take a penalty. Such a shame.
Go out now and spread the word autolatry
OK this is the first blog, or primordial if you will!
When writing poetry it helps to have an array of different words meaning the same thing. To this end I have been deep in thought (well, for about 10 minutes) about what to actually write my first ever blog about. It seems appropriate that on a bespoke poetry website it should have something to do with words, so to that end I will be blogging about words - strange words, unusual words, underused words, undervalued words, foreign words, descriptive words, old words, new words, long words, short words, words you might have heard of, words you have never heard of. So you get the idea! Anyway this being my first ever blog I have entitled it the primordial blog, and so lies my first word, primordial.
A google search of the word turns up an image of Alan Nemtheanga, the lead singer of Irish Metal Band - Primordial. Not quite what I was expecting but further enhancing my knowledge of Irish Metal Bands!
So that's the first blog over, the primordial blog, you've probably read more interesting ones, but I'm just warming up....
